Find Your Life's Balance

What makes a person the strongest they can be?

BALANCE - that intricate life skill that we all aspire to master ... that which gives us all that we seek in life - health, happiness, and prosperity. How do we get that BALANCE?

It starts with you and your own personal physical, mental, and spiritual health. You are the only one that can help YOU. Only when YOU are strong and healthy, can you help others. Start with YOU.

How do you achieve BALANCE in your life? Let's look at the parts that go into the whole:

NUTRITION - what are you putting into your body? The cells in your body need to be nourished properly. Consume wholesome, natural foods and supplements. Eat less sugar, and more fiber. Embrace foods rich in antioxidants. One of my favorite foods is a fresh salad of finely shredded kale and carrots, mixed with olive oil, mayo, garlic powder, and dill weed. This dish goes with just about everything, and will provide you with genuine, powerful nutrition. I could eat it every day.

EXERCISE - your body needs to move, to exert, to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Feeding the cells of your body is more than the food you eat. It's also circulating blood to those cells, and exerting your muscles and bones. Done on a daily basis, circulation improves and body tissues remain strong and healthy. Get away from the chores, the phone, your email, all of the distractions that create stress, and exercise!

MEDITATE (pray, contemplate, look within) - whatever you want to call this process, it works. Give yourself space from all that troubles you, and look within for your inner peace. It's there, if you just give it the space it needs. I find that meditation is best done while exercising or engaging in a hobby. Some people find inner peace with other methods. Choose a method that works for you and give yourself a daily respite. If you are struggling to find the correct method, you might try simply exercising first.

PASSION - what is your passion? Do you play music, paint, draw, build things, sew, cook ... what is that one special thing that you do, when you can get away by yourself? When you engage in your passion, you release stress from your body, and give yourself the opportunity to thrive in your ideal environment. Create your ideal environment in support of your passion.

LIVE THE LIFE YOU WANT TO LIVE - when you effectively nourish your body and soul, you will find BALANCE, along with health and happiness. Be good to yourself. Let me know how you are doing. I would love to hear from you.
